The Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Eyeshadow Palette was very popular this year, but that wasn’t the first anniversary set by Urban Decay. Around Christmas time last year 2010 they came out with an eyeliner collection. I found out about it from Marlena of Make Up Geek on YouTube. After seeing her use it, I knew I had to have it. I went to Sephora and saw a display unit full of them. The retail price was $99. I couldn’t believe it. I remember thinking that I need to hurry and get it now before they sell out. The 24/7 pencils were regularly sold for $17. They are $18 now. The fact that I was getting 15 different colors for $99 was such a great deal. I needed a blue and a green eyeliner anyway so I was thrilled to purchase this set. The set also came with a duo pencil sharpener that usually retails for $10. This was a fantastic deal.
Here are swatches of the colors
From left to right:
Stray Dog, Corrupt, Bourbon, Midnight Cowboy, Baked, Stash, Mildew, Perversion, Electric, Binge, Ransom, Asphyxia, Rockstar, Zero, and Uzi.
They truly do glide on. These are the softest eyeliners I’ve ever used. I like them better than any other eye liners. The only thing that would make them better is if they came in an automatic version (twist up). They have great staying power and most importantly, I don’t have problems with them running and making me look like a raccoon by the end of the day. 🙂 I regret not buying two of these because some of the colors were limited edition.
I had to highlight the awesomeness of this eyeliner. It’s the blackest pencil I’ve seen. First off, it stands apart from the others in the collection because it’s totally black. It reminds me of an actual pen. I know that so many people adore M.A.C. Feline and feel as though it’s the best black eyeliner ever. Feline doesn’t come close to this pencil. I know that I’m in the minority but I hate Feline. On a good day it will last about an hour on me before smearing. Perversion 24/7 Glide On Pencil was one of the limited edition colors. 🙁 I go into more detail about my M.A.C. and Urban Decay black eyeliners here.
