Sonia Kashuk Complexion Perfection Brush Review

I purchased the Sonia Kashuk Complexion Perfection Brush the same day I purchased the Limited Edition 5pc Couture Set.  Hey, what can I say, I was overcome with the need for more brushes.  In my defense, I believed I was getting brushes that were different from other brushes I owned. Ha! 🙂

I’m normally not a fan of dual ended brushes because I can’t place them in my brush holders, however, when I saw this brush I was okay with making an exception.

I compared the synthetic foundation side of the brush to my beloved Sonia Kashuk Pointed Foundation Brush.

Definitely Different.  I primarily use the Pointed Foundation brush for applying concealer under the eye area and sometimes for concealing blemishes.  Rarely do I use it to actually apply foundation all over the face.  Since The Complexion Perfection brush is larger I can see how I’d use it more for foundation.  I love the fact that it’s very dense yet soft even though it’s synthetic.  I could also use his brush for highlight and contouring.  I’m really excited about it.

I have no other brush anywhere near this one.  The sponge is very smooth.  I’m guessing this would be similar to a Beauty Blender type tool, but I don’t own any of those so I can give a fair comparison.

Have you seen this brush in your local Target?  If so, did you purchase it?  I’d love to hear about your experiences with it.

Ooh, I need to pick that up. I’m use the SK ‘beauty blender’ but it would be good to have a handle on it. I used to use the pointed foundation brush but actually for foundation. It was a pain becauae it was too small. But good for cream to powders. This brush excites me. I will try it and let you know what I think.

Thanks for stopping by and taking time to comment. I've heard very good things about the original Beauty Blender as well as the Sonia Kashuk version, I just haven't been intrigued enough to get one. One day I may. That pointed foundation brush is my absolute favorite under eye concealer brush. A close 2nd would be the Elf Angled Contour brush. Yet another example of finding alternate uses for a product. I can't imagine anyone using the Elf Angled Contour brush as an actual eye brush. It's way too big. Maybe just a single color all over but not doing real contouring work. Ha!
