A selected number of Houston Fashion Bloggers were invited by the Dallas Convention Bureau to visit Dallas and blog about the great attractions the city had to offer. I jumped at this opportunity. Anyone who knows me in real life knows how much I LOVE Texas. I’m all about promoting Texas cities and of course fighting the stereotypes that all we do here is ride on horses and wear big cowboy hats and boots. There are plenty of urban metropolitan areas with great activities.
We started our tour by attending a Happy Hour tweet up for the Mayor’s office at Hotel NYLO with Shawn Williams.
I ordered the Filet with Roasted Garlic and oh boy was it tasty!! 🙂Next stop was Hotel Zaza. We got a chance to socialize & mingle.
I planned on taking lots of pictures but one of the hotel managers stopped us from taking pictures. He said he had to protect the customers’ privacy. Two of the Houston Fashion Bloggers’ cameras were confiscated and weren’t returned to them until we left. 🙁
Our next stop was one of the most memorable experiences of the trip. We went to Winston’s Supperclub. This place is exclusive, eclectic, & lots of fun!!
The above pictures came from Shalanda of Live Life in Style.
This place is totally awesome. The ambience is different from any other club I’ve ever been to. Adam the owner is super cool and told us he and his partner are planning to open a Winston’s Supperclub in Houston next year!!! Woo Hoo!!
On day 2 we had a very full day of events. We started out at Dallas Bishop Arts District.
At the Dallas Galleria Mall, we attended the lighting of the Christmas Tree. It was a big event with a full program of ice skaters and even a skating Santa who had sparks on his skates.
Our dinner was sponsored by the Dallas Galleria. We ate at The Grille On the Alley.
Another highlight of our trip was attending the Dallas Mavericks vs. Detroit Pistons game. I’m very happy to report that my Texas team pulled through and Dallas beat Detroit!! The Dallas Convention Bureau allowed us to enjoy the game in VIP suites! that was awesome!! We weren’t allowed to use our cameras at the American Airlines Arena. 🙁 I did however snap some pictures with my cell phone. Excuse the low quality .
We ended the night at club Synn. We were invited by the Party Chasers promotions group. We had a reserved section and V.I.P. service. That was cool!
