In the previous post, I showed you how I do my easy neutral smokey eye. This post will be moving from that look on to a more dramatic look. Ideal for going from work to happy hour.
So I started off with this look
Then incorporated these Elf Products below. The pigments are from my last Elf Haul. I already had the Lip Stain, the All Over Cover Stick, the Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner Pen, and the Clear Mascara/Clear Brow Gel (that I really like by the way)
Here’s another picture of the Elf Pigments I used. I was very excited to try these out!
I added Tropical Teal to my lid. As you can see, just adding that one color makes this smokey eye stand out.
Next I added Naturally Nude to the inner crease. I should warn you that the name of this pigment is very misleading. It’s not really natural. It’s very frosty. Although pretty, it needs to be applied extremely light to avoid it being overpowering.
I carefully placed Naughty Noir in the outer crease and outer lid. I didn’t blend it yet because it’s a loose dark color. I wanted to prevent as much fall out as possible. You have to be careful with loose colors or you’ll make a mess.
Next I brought the same Naughty Noir pigment down to my lower lashline stopping about midway.
I added the Tropical Teal to the rest of my lashline going inward. Then applied the Brown pigment to my crease and blended very gently.
Afterwards I added Innocent Ivory as my brow highlight. This was another misleading color. I was expecting this to be a MAC Naked pigment dupe but it’s nothing like Naked. It’s closer to Pink Opal. Oh well, that’s the risk you take buying colors online. LOL! I added my Elf Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner Pen as well.
I took this look even further by adding my new Elf false lashes and my Elf blush in Candid Coral as my Cheek Highlight.
I also changed my lip color to the Elf Lip Stain in First Date
Ha ha! I was making a funny face but I’m too embarrassed to show it so I’ll just show the eyes. They’re wide open so you can see all of the colors and how I blended them 😀
